Today is the last day of my first session of grad school classes. I had so much homework to complete yesterday that I failed to squeeze in time for my blog post (I was up until 1:00 am working on this assignment), so I am taking a hiatus today. I do want to show you guys what I’ve been working on that was so time consuming. The assignment was to create an aesthetic representation of my personal theory of how kids learn. Some people in my cohort are making paintings, one girl is making bread dough. I’ll get to see them all today, so I’ll know more then. I wrote a children’s picture book, and then had to “illustrate” it. I’m not an illustrator, but I am able to painstakingly illustrate when I need to. So that’s what I’ve been doing. Sadly, I didn’t get done, so we’ll see if my professor marks me off for that. But here is the cover. Isn’t it cute?
I bought a picture book at a thrift store and glued new pages throughout the book so I’d have a hardcover book to show the class. It was fun, but 32 pages is a lot of pages to have to illustrate!
Anyway… I’m sorry I didn’t get you all a blog post or choose a winner for last week’s giveaway. I will do that next week.
Thanks for understanding!
Aww, how adorable! Made me smile. Thanks for sharing with us. :0) Hope your class goes well.
That is so sweet!! I know it’s just an assignment, but I’m sure the kids would love it if they could read it! 😀 It made me happy just looking at it.
Cute! (The title and the cover?)
Adorable! You truly went all out for this assignment.
I love your cover! It’s really sweet, and I’m sure that your report is amazing as well.
I completely understand how homework can be. I’m still in high school, but…homework can get crazy. ? I hope that your class goes very well!!
I LOVE THIS, but really want to know more about your theory and what the rest of the book looks like 😉
