We have friends in town, which is good for my emotional health but bad for my blogging schedule.

That’s okay, because I’ve been looking for a day to slack off so I could direct you to Seekerville where Ramona Richards, the senior acquisitions editor for Abingdon Press’s fiction line blogged about what she looks for in a manuscript. She says the author’s “voice” is key for her, and then she goes on to define what that means to her.

Some of you guys have asked me about voice before, and I’ve done my best to share what I think it means, but  Ms. Richards is an EDITOR. So if the voice thing is still murky for you, be sure to check out Ms. Richards’ post.
