Stephanie here. I’m taking the day off of blogging (not totally, I suppose, seeing as this is technically a blog post) because of a few special Go Teen Writers events I’m preparing for:
1. Critique Group match up: I have 36 groups sorted out so far, and I need to organize those who have registered in the last few days. I’ll start sending out emails soon, and Jill will be posting tomorrow (and I think Thursday too) about effective critique groups and critique group etiquette.
2. A new Go Teen Writers writing contest; This will start next Monday (November 10th) and will be a 150 word contest. It will be open to writers ages 21 and under. All the details you need will be posted next Monday.
3. A Go Teen Writers word war: This will start Thursday, November 20th and will run through Monday, November 24th. This word war is in response to those who have asked for one during NaNoWriMo, but you don’t have to be doing NaNo or the 100 for 100 to participate.
Some other future writing events that we’re cooking up include a 12 Days of Giveaways event in December that will count down the last 12 days of the 100 for 100 contest and also an on-line writing conference that would take place next year.
It’ll be a fun few months!
